pressbooks featuring examples of her Romantic, Italian,
Modern and Fantasy interior design projects. Projects as
diverse as the great French châteaux or 18th century
St. James town houses to 1920's art-deco residences or modern
dwellings, from Phoenix Arizona to Venice and from SW1 to
the Dordogne Valley!
All a far cry from Lavender Hill in 1985 where Marlene established
her interior design studio devoted to creating atmospheres
of elegance and beauty in the homes and business premises
of her clients by the subtle use of her colourist's eye
and a complete range of paint effects in both traditional
and contemporary styles.

Marlene Black's Total Design And Project Management Services,
incorporating specialist contractors and project teams,
work world-wide to interpret and realise her clients' dreams.The
use of modern lighting, custom-designed furniture, fine
fabrics, traditional stone and modern floorings and quality
materials typify and grace all of her works, both private
and commercial. Stately homes, châteaux, hotels, five-star
restaurants, luxury residences - all are completed according
to contracted time-scales and financial budgets but each
one bears Marlene's personal hallmarks of unique design,
attention to detail and unquestioned excellence borne from
her simple wish "To work closely with each client in
